How can I use ski lifts?

Skibike users are authorised to ride through the whole Grand Bornand ski resort.

The only non-authorised lift is the Châtillon button-lift because of the steepness of its slope.

For beginners, two chairlifts are equipped with special hooks, designed for skibikes: le Châtelet and les Terres Rouges.

It is skimen’s duty to slow the lift down and hook the bikes on or unhook them off their holder to let you use this kind of lift. For other chairlifts without these special hooks, you only have to keep the skibike next to you.

It is now possible to ride down from les Terres Rouges chairlift through a green slope called les Myrtilles.

Which slopes?

The most suited slopes are the green and blue ones. They are ideal for sideslips, “godille” and carving.

Red slopes can be used as well if they are not too steep.

Off-piste is possible for the most skilled users, but it requires some skills and caution.
