How can I use ski lifts?

Skibike users are authorized to ride through the whole Grand Bornand resort.

The only non-authorized lift is a button-lift: Châtillon button-lift because of the steepness of its slope.

For beginners, three chairlifts are equipped with special hooks, designed for skibikes: le Châtelet, les Gettiers and les Terres Rouges.

It is skimen’s duty to slow the lift down and hook the bikes on or unhook them off their holder to let you use this kind of lift. For other chairlifts without these special hooks, you only have to keep the skibike next to you.

A novelty for this winter: it is now possible to ride down from les Terres Rouges chairlift through a green slope called les Myrtilles.

Which slopes?

The most suited slopes are the green and blue ones. They are ideal for sideslips, “godille” and carving.

Red slopes can be used as well if they are not too steep.

Off-piste is possible for the most skilled users, but it requires some skills and caution.
